Ranger/Mez PvP build questions - Guild Wars Forums

So i have a ranger Mezmer and im not sure how to use her or how to even cast some of the stuff, i had been using backfire and hex breaker to deal damage to healers and then keeping them from casting as much as i could with distracting shot and that kinda stuff, even nailing them for energy and all i do is get picked off later i dont really feel like im doing anything except being useless i could really use some help with skills i could use and mabey a little stratgy. I know its a good build i just dont know how to use it.

R/Me

10+4 expertise
11+1 marks
10 Dom

Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Tiger's Fury
Pin Down
Oath Shot
Debilitating Shot
Power Drain
Power Leak

This is a very general build, but unless you say exactly what you're using this r/me for, and what role in a team build you're expecting to fill, you're not going to get much better. And it's mesmer, not mezmer.

This is my Ra/Mes currently, in Fragility mode.

Exp: 10+3+1
Marks: 11+1
BM: 3+1
Illusion: 9

Tiger's Fury
Incendiary Arrows
Pin Down
Distracting Shot
Whirling Defense
Arcane Conundrum
Fragility
Res Sig

Works good for damage, but somewhat vulnerable to hex removal.

But it looks more like you are going caster shutdown. The question is, which type? Interrupt (In which case you want Distracting Shot and Choking Gas as your basis) or Energy Denial (In which case you want Dibilitating Shot and some Mesmer steals)?

Or you could just focus on one or the other and use the other class just as an inbetween. A for instance would be building a shutdown mesmer, but keep a secondary bow weapon and apply poison just to keep them guessing.

I want shut down but im not sure how to set her up, sorry ive been absent from this one becasue of work. Im not sure what set of skills to use and what armor right now i have a strom bow and druids armor on. If that helps any with your advice.
